Hi Everyone
I’ve been around a few projects where the roof work didn’t go as planned, and honestly, it’s surprising how small mistakes can cause big trouble later. Stuff like sloppy flashing around vents or not thinking about ventilation properly it always comes back to bite.
I’m curious, from your own experience, what mistakes pop up the most during roof construction and how do you avoid them?
Recently, I’ve started working with a construction estimating company to make sure we plan better on the cost side, but I feel like nothing replaces learning from people who’ve actually been through it.
Would really like to hear your stories or advice.
I’ve seen a lot of roof projects go wrong just because of small details being overlooked. Poor flashing installation and not planning proper ventilation are probably the two biggest mistakes. Both of these can lead to leaks, trapped moisture, and higher repair costs down the road.
